It is for this reason that a man should leave his mother and father to live with his wife...
This is not the first time that I had the privilege to witness the renewal of vows ceremony in the community - but this was the first time that I cried...I cried not because I was sad. I cried because I was overwhelmed by the presence of so much love in the room as the couples again exchanged vows to love and cherish each other...it was a very moving scene for me - much like watching a love story on the big screen...the way each couple lovingly looked at their respective partners, held each other's hands and renewed their promise to each other...
The preparations were rushed but the outcome was great - the music set the mood for the occasion and we made a make shift wedding arch by covering a coat hanger with tulle and attaching the long tulle to the chairs to serve as aisle decor. While the Ave Maria music was played in the background, the couples were called a couple at a time, and were asked to pose for a picture in front of the "wedding arch". When they reached the altar, they were asked to light a candle each and they were escorted to their respective seats. After Fr. Victor gave his very inspiring homily, the couples were asked to stand and face each other and read their vows to their respective partners. They were then called to the altar to sign the certificate pre-signed by Fr. Victor, sealing the renewal of their vows. After Fr. Victor gave them his blessings, they were escorted out of the room and were again called one couple at a time, this time to present them to the community as the "refurbished", good as new, married couples. As they reached the altar, Fr. Victor handed them their certificates and they posed with Fr. Victor for a photo-op.
Fr. Victor shared a story of how an elderly person went to her pastor to make arrangements for her funeral when her time comes. The elderly lady told the priest that when she dies, a fork should be placed in her hand and the priest must make sure that everybody sees the fork. The lady then asked the pastor that he is to explain to the people in his homily the meaning of the fork - waiting for the best part of the meal - the dessert. Fr. Victor's story stressed the importance of looking forward to and anticipating what God has in store for all of us. Just as how we should look forward to what God has prepared for us for tomorrow, the couples were reminded that although it may have been, most of the time, a long and wearisome travel down the married life’s road, they must never let it dampen their spirits; they must not get up and leave. They have to stay, wait and anticipate - just as how we always look forward to the dessert at the end of every meal, we must always keep our forks - for the best is yet to come.

Christians experience unique fellowship when they worship together. The Lord's promise to be in their presence transforms any gathering of believers. You draw strength from the testimony of God's faithfulness in the lives of others. You learn to comfort one another with the comfort you receive from the Lord. You experience real joy. And you give and receive love and forgiveness in practical ways. All of this is magnified because of the power of God among you.
Father's LOVE
A Tribute to Our Fathers View Pictures
Let us all give tribute to our blessed lives with the ones who are responsible for it, our fathers. Father's Day will be truly great when we put in our finest celebration to it. We should take time out to spend the day with our father and show gratitude for their guidance, love and patience all our lives. During the celebration on Father's day, it was unforgettable event, full of emotions when the prayer group's member narrated their sentiments towards their father. In our journey, we experienced pains and tribulations especially understanding the full love of "Earthly Father", but our brothers and sisters showed forgiveness, reconciliation and still longing for strong bond of friendship between each other. In this special celebration, everybody showed love and compassion that makes the meaning of a true family of God. Last but not the least to make the occasion be cherished in our lives is to say "I love you Dad".

The priest will then say aloud 'You have declared your consent before the Church. May the Lord in his goodness strengthen your consent and fill you both with his blessings. That God has joined, men must not divide. Amen
I LOVE YOU MOM.
"Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you."
My mother is a friend whom I didn't call her by her first name (it is Mom or Ma'am). My mother is not God, but I honor her and I fear her. I want her to be proud...and I know she is. My mother is a woman of few words. She leads by example and just does. My mother STANDS; Stands strong, Against the wind and Against Adversity. My mother begins with love and ends there.
M-O-T-H-E-R
M is for the million things she gave me,
O means only that she's growing old,
T is for the tears she shed to save me,
H is for her heart of purest gold;
E is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
R means right, and right she'll always be, Put them all together, they spell MOTHER, A word that means the world to me.
